一莲宣涟，是译廉宣廉的谐音。字面意思为一朵莲花掀起涟漪，意在通过翻译廉洁人物、廉洁故事这件事情，在学校掀起廉政建设宣传教育的新浪潮。

实干宰相黄霸

为了解民间情况，黄霸常派官员微服私访，关心百姓疾苦。有一次，黄霸派了一名年长廉洁的下属秘密出行访察。下属微服出访，不敢在驿亭住宿，饿了就在路边吃些食物，这时忽然飞来一只乌鸦，叼走了他手里的肉。恰巧有人要去郡衙，看到了这一幕，就对黄霸讲了这件事。下属回来后，黄霸迎上前慰劳他，说：“您这一路上辛苦了，风餐露宿，在路上吃饭还被乌鸦抢走了肉。”下属大惊，以为黄霸对他外出的所有了解的情况都已清楚，所以对黄霸所问的事情丝毫不敢有所隐瞒。

Pragmatic Prime Minister

Huang Ba

To understand the conditions of the common people, Huang Ba often sent officials to visit in disguise, showing genuine concern for their suffering. On one occasion, Huang Ba dispatched an elderly and upright subordinate on a secret mission. The subordinate, dressed in plain clothes, dared not stay at post stations and ate by the roadside when hungry. Suddenly, a crow flew over and snatched the meat from his hand. By chance, someone who was on their way to the district office saw this and  reported it to Huang Ba. When the subordinate returned, Huang Ba greeted him and said, "You have been through a lot on this journey, enduring the elements and having your meal snatched by a crow on the road." The subordinate was greatly surprised, thinking that Huang Ba already knew everything about his outing, and thus felt compelled to truthfully report on all matters when questioned.
