一莲宣涟，是译廉宣廉的谐音。字面意思为一朵莲花掀起涟漪，意在通过翻译廉洁人物、廉洁故事这件事情，在学校掀起廉政建设宣传教育的新浪潮。

张桂梅：用生命托起大山的希望

张桂梅执着奋斗、无私奉献，心怀大我，对自己近乎苛刻的节俭，一件新衣服都舍不得买，却把工资、奖金和社会各界捐款100多万元全部投入到贫困山区教育和儿童福利事业。长期义务兼任华坪福利院院长，多方奔走筹集善款，20年来含辛茹苦养育136名孤儿，被孩子们亲切称呼为“妈妈”。

再苦不能苦孩子，再穷不能穷教育。为了给寒冬腊月里发高烧的男生保暖，她把丈夫留下来的珍贵的毛背心送给了他；为了省下钱来资助学生，她戒掉了肉食，常年吃素；为了回报和她并肩作战的女高教师们，她把数年来领取的劳模慰问金全部用作教师们的教学奖励金，可她自己却连一袋牛奶都舍不得喝。她选择了让自己苦、让自己穷，没有房子没有财产。因为孩子们的成长就是她唯一的财富。不求名、不逐利，是她的行事品格，她只是默默地深耕在大山深处，用单薄的身躯挑起民族的脊梁，“高山仰止，景行行止”。

Zhang Guimei: Lifting Mountain Children 

as Hope through Her Lifelong Devotion

Zhang Guimei exemplifies unwavering dedication and selfless service. Prioritizing the collective good over her own interests, she embraces a frugal lifestyle, refusing even to buy herself a new garment. Yet she has devoted over 1 million yuan from her salary, bonuses, and public donations to education in China’s impoverished mountainous regions and child welfare programs. For over two decades, she has voluntarily served as the director of Huaping Children’s Welfare Home while taking on other duties. Throughout this time, she has traveled tirelessly across communities to raise donations from diverse sources and has nurtured 136 orphans through years of unrelenting hardships, leading the children to lovingly call her "Mom".

No matter how tough life gets, children must not suffer; no matter how poor we are, education must not be compromised. To keep a fever-stricken boy warm during the harsh winter, she gave him the cherished woolen vest left by her late husband. To save every penny for her students, she gave up eating meat and adopted a lifelong vegetarian diet. In gratitude to the teachers who fought alongside her at the girls' high school, she dedicated all the commendation allowances she received as a model worker over the years to teaching incentives, yet she couldn't even bring herself to buy a carton of milk. She chose self-imposed hardship and poverty, a life without a house or possessions. To her, the growth of these children is her sole wealth. Eschewing fame and profit has always been her guiding principle. Humbly rooted in the remotest mountains, her frail frame carries the weight of a nation's future. As an ancient saying goes，"We look up to the lofty mountains, and follow the path of great virtue."
